For those whose homes are not nearly as busy, wool is definitely an option, but must be used with caution. Wool carpet is very easily worn, stained, and can hold up to ten times its own weight in water, so it must be treated with care when installed.
When choosing a color for your
carpet floors, keep in mind that dark colored flooring absorbs light and works to make a room look much smaller than it really is. Lighter colors, then create rooms that are bright and larger-looking, which is a great trick to use in small spaces. To add to that enlarging effect, you can also add molding that is colored lighter than your walls.
