Three flooring trends

Three flooring trends

Just a change of flooring can refresh the entire look of a room! There are many design options, but here are the three most popular looks for your new floors.

Wood and stone looks

These are expected to remain popular for years. But, there's an interest in anything with a natural look.

We can thank modern technology, such as Inkjet or embossing, for enabling manufacturers to create amazingly realistic versions. They all include color variations, textures, features such as knots, and veining variations–all of the "imperfections" created by Mother Nature.

Come into our flooring store, where you’ll see wood-and-stone look tiles to luxury vinyl with gorgeous wood, stone, and tile mimics. Laminate, which has long been considered a great alternative to wood, is generating interest in its stone looks.

Nature-inspired images

Anything that reminds us of the sun, sky, water, fauna, and flora is in vogue. This includes floral patterns or coastal-inspired blues and greens that evoke thoughts of the ocean.

Organic shapes with subdued lines and curves can soften a design. Think of rocks, leaves, and other shapes created by Mother Nature. Then come into our flooring company, where you can see this influence in everything from carpet to tile.

Earth-toned neutrals

Once again, there's inspiration from nature! Neutral palettes have always been popular, but now they include rich, earthy colors like brown. Any shade, from medium to dark, brings comfort, warmth, and an invitation to slow down from our hectic lives.

There are also a couple of “new neutrals.” They include gray and blue.
